Animal-Style Fries

A healthier version of an In-n-Out classic.

Ingredients

Fries

  • 3 large potatoes (sliced)
  • 1  large onion (diced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer.
  2. Meanwhile heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add onions and 1 teaspoon of salt. Reduce the heat to medium-low.
  4. Toss the fries with the remaining salt and olive oil. Place into the air fryer.
  5. Cook for 7 minutes on 400F (200C) then take out to shake. Place back into air fryer.
  6. Cook for another 8 minutes until fries are crispy and golden brown.
  7. Stir the onions occasionally until browned. Add 1 tablespoon of water to the skillet and continue cooking until the water evaporates and onions begin sizzling again.
  8. Repeat until the onions are dark brown and extremely caramelized, about 2 times.
  9. Place fries into a bowl topped with the onions followed by the animal-style spread.
  10. Accompanies well with a double-double protein style burger.

Oven-Baked Fries

A healthy alternative for a popular side.

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes (peeled)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425F (220C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the potatoes into ½ inch fries.
  3. Pat them dry on all sides with paper towels to absorb as much moisture as possible.
  4. Put the fries in a large bowl and toss evenly with the oil, salt, and onion powder.
  5. Place the fries on the baking sheet.
  6. Make sure they have least ½ inch of space between each one. This ensures crispier fries!
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, then take them out so you can turn them over.
  8. Lower the heat to 400F (200C) and continue to bake another 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Accompanies well with homemade ketchup or onion dip.

Sweet Potato Fries

An easy side to accompany your favorite dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F (200 C).
  2. Peal sweet potatoes and cut into wedges.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the fries with the avocado oil, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Place fries on a baking sheet in an even layer. Make sure they are spread apart.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and flip the fries over.
  6. Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes until the fries are golden and crispy.
  7. Serve with a side of Garlic Aioli.
